DETECTIVES have released an e-fit of one of two robbers who stole cash and jewellery from a Bromsgrove town centre shop.

Police are hoping someone will recognise the man, and help them identify him.

The robbery happened at around 4.45pm on Thursday, November 7, at Kash Kwik in The Strand when two men wearing hoods walked into the shop and assaulted a woman working there.

She was bundled into a black room, and the pair escaped with their haul which was put into a small rucksack and a black plastic bag they were carrying.

The woman, who was not badly hurt, raised the alarm shortly after they left on foot.

Detective Constable Ruth Hemingway, of North Worcestershire CID, said: “This was a nasty incident and we need people to come forward and help us.

"The e-fit we have produced is of one of the robbers who was white, in his early 20s and about 5ft 8ins.

"He was slim, had a thin face, with short, light coloured hair.

“He was wearing a blue hooded top and lighter coloured jogging bottoms.

"We believe it’s a good likeness and hope someone will recognise him and tell us who he is."

The other robber was also white and of a similar age and height. He was wearing a distinctive jacket with noticeably lighter coloured sleeves, dark coloured bottoms and a dark woolly hat."

DC Hemingway added that the robbers were hanging around for a while in an alleyway at the side of Kash Kwik before they went in.

People who remember seeing the pair loitering in the area around the time are being asked to come forward.

“Any information we can get from members of the public could be significant so if you saw, heard or know anything at all please get in touch.”
