MORRISONS supermarket in Bromsgrove was alive with colour on Friday as the staff pulled out their most outlandish Christmas jumpers and Christmas socks to wear for the day.

The display was organised to raise money for Save the Children as part of a national Christmas Jumper Day, when thousands of people across the country are asked to 'make the world better with a sweater' by wearing a Christmas jumper for the day and donating at least £1 to the charity.

Angela Clews, community champion at the Bromsgrove branch, said: "We all had a fantastic day and even a spot of carol singing whilst having our photo taken. It was a real success for the store and everyone really enjoyed the day. The most important thing is that we managed to raise £128 for charity."

Organisation is already under way for Christmas Jumper Day 2014. For more information visit savethechildren.org.uk/christmas-jumper-day.
