THE family of a Bromsgrove man who died on the Bromsgrove Highway at the weekend have paid tribute to him as a ‘loving and caring’ partner and father.

Stuart Burns, 41 from Crossley Walk in Charford, died on the Redditch-bound carriageway of the A448 Bromsgrove Highway in the early hours of Saturday morning, December 14 after being in collision with several cars.

He leaves his partner of 22 years Ann Marks, and their two daughters aged 20 and seven.

Miss Marks said: “He was loving and caring, and would do anything for me and the kids.

“We are going to keep things as normal as possible and celebrate Christmas for the sake of our youngest, because that is what Stuart would have wanted.”

Mr Burns, was originally from Dundee in Scotland and as a fan of all kinds of sports, he regularly followed of Dundee United. He had worked for medical supplies firm Kimal and had been at a works Christmas do on Friday evening, where he and a group of colleagues had been for a meal in Worcester. They had arrived back in Bromsgrove at about 1.30am on Saturday morning, going to the town’s Love 2 Love nightclub, but his family are still unsure how he came to be walking along the Bromsgrove Highway.

Miss Marks added: “We are asking for anyone who saw him that night to come forward so they can help us piece together his last hours. Anyone with any information, please tell the police.

“Our thoughts are with the drivers of the cars. They must be devastated.”
