GENEROUS staff, pupils and their parents at a town school held a successful collection over the festive period.

Bromsgrove Preparatory School, in Old Station Road, held a collection for toys, books and puzzles to support the Birmingham City Mission toy collection programme.

Organisers were thrilled by a fantastic response, with the items collected by City Missions in the run up to Christmas.

The donated toys were then passed on to disadvantaged Birmingham children who otherwise would have had no toys for Christmas.
