ANYONE wanting to find out more about what life was like in Bromsgrove, Redditch and Droitwich toward the end of the 19th century should go along to a talk being organised by the Bromsgrove branch of the Birmingham and Midland Society for Geneology and Heraldry.
The talk ‘Worcestershire Remembered’ focuses on city and rural life at the turn of the century as the county felt the shadow of nearby industrial Birmingham, and aims to look at whether they really were the ‘good old days’.
The talk is being given by Ray Sturdy at Bromsgrove Methodist Centre on Stratford Road in Bromsgrove on Tuesday January 14.
Beginning at 7.45pm, the event is free of charge and tea and coffee will be available. For more information, visit the society’s website at bromsgrovebmsgh.co.uk.
