WITH January touted as the divorce season, one Bromsgrove-based law firm is making the most of circumstances, by offering a reduced rate for it divorce fees throughout the month.

Thomas Horton LLP Solicitors has just appointed Anila Naeem as its new head of matrimonial services.

She said: “It’s a sad fact that there is a higher proportion of marriage breakdowns in January than any other time of year so this can be an extremely difficult time for many families. By offering a reduced fee we are able to remove at least one uncertainty in the process.

“Matrimonial law is varied and complex and each case is completely individual, so client care is always the main focus for us. By their very nature, our cases are always sensitive and real emotions are involved so it’s essential for us to strike the right balance between legal expertise and human support.”

The firm has reduced its portion of the fees by nearly 40 per cent.

Fiona Lawson-Hughes, head of the firm’s family department, added: “Anila is an extremely knowledgeable and capable solicitor who has shown real passion for both the firm and matrimonial law and we know this passion and drive will stand her in good stead in her new role.”
