AS a show of true love in the build up to Valentines Day, married couples from around the Bromsgrove area are being invited to take part in a simple ceremony to renew their bows next Saturday.

The ceremony is being organised by All Saints Church in Bromsgrove as part of the Big Promise, a family initiative supported by Churches Together in Bromsgrove as a way of celebrating the meaning and purpose of marriage.

Couples are welcome to attend the ceremony regardless of whether they were originally married in a church, a register office or anywhere else, and the church is hoping to draw a number of couples.

Anyone is welcome, when they want to renew their vows after only a few years, or even if they’re celebrating a special anniversary. All the organisers ask for is sincerity.

The renewal ceremony will be taking place on Saturday, February 8 at the Methodist Centre on Church Lane, and will be conducted by the Rev Rickard Wilde, and the Rev Christine Holzapfel.

Couples wanting to take part should get in touch with the church via the Rev Wilde on 01527 873765 or the Rev Holzapfel on 01527 579561, and let them know their names in advance.

There will be a run through of what’s involved from 4.30pm, before the renewal ceremony begins at 5.15pm, and family and friends are welcome to attend. The service is estimated to take 20-30 minutes.

Music is being provided by Gracechurch in Bromsgrove, and refreshments will also be available.
