A BROMSGROVE pre-school has been rated as good by inspectors.
Ofsted inspectors visited Sidemoor Pre-School, based at Peartree Children's Centre in Broad Street, last November.
In inspector Catherine Sharkey's report, which has now been published, the pre-school was overall judged a two, which is a rating of good in Ofsted's criteria.
This is an improvement from three, which the pre-school received in its previous inspection last July.
Among the areas rated as good in the latest report were how well the early years provision meets the needs of the range of children who attend, the contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children and the effectiveness of the leadership and management of the early years provision.
Teaching and the wide range of resources was praised as very effective, enabling children to made good progress.
Inspectors said children's health and well-being is given a high priority, with healthy eating and lifestyles being promoted.
The report said: "Staff are well motivated and work very well as a team to meet the needs of all children.
"Staff plan very exciting activities based on individual children's needs and interests."
Toni Cooke, pre-school's manager, said it was down to the hardwork and dedication of the staff team that the pre-school continues to achieve high standards.
