THE trial of a couple accused of killing their baby daughter is still to take place in June but has been put back a week.

Tyler Vallance and Jessica Wiggins, whose address was originally given as The Oakalls, Bromsgrove, were to have entered pleas at Worcester Crown Court today, Friday, February 14, but the hearing was adjourned until March 17.

The court was told that Vallance, currently in custody at Glen Parva institution in Leicestershire, had not been put in transport to make an appearance.

Because of his absence, Judge Robert Juckes QC agreed to a fresh hearing.

Vallance, aged 20, and Wiggins, are charged with causing or allowing the death of two-month-old Isabella Vallance in December 2012.

They are also accused of ill treatment or neglect of a child between November 5 and December 7.

Isabella was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch after being injured at a house in Redditch on December 7 2012, before being transferred to Birmingham Children's Hospital. She died five days later.

Wiggins is on conditional bail.
