A 66-YEAR-old man from Catshill has admitted growing cannabis, although he claims the drug was for his own personal use.
Gregory Taft of Stourbridge Road, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to a charge of producing cannabis.
The court heard how Mr Taft claimed that the cannabis, discovered on April 28 of last year, was his, but was for his own personal use as treatment for a back problem.
The case was adjourned for a hearing to determine whether for a hearing to determine whether the basis for his guilty plea was acceptable.
Mr Taft was granted bail, and is now due to return to court on a date to be agreed some time after Monday, April 7.
