THE Malthurst Texaco petrol station has now closed on Birmingham Road in Bromsgrove opposite the Victoria ground, with the company opening a new station several metres up the road with BP and Spar branding.
The new petrol station incorporates eight fuel pumps, two Autogas pumps, a new car wash and jet wash, and Spar convenience store with an off licence.
A petrol station has occupied the site on Birmingham Road since 1988, and it’s move is part of the work set to take place in the Bromsgrove Retail Park, for the planned Sainsbury’s supermarket development.
At present the Lush furniture store and Focus DIY have already vacated the site, while the Co-operative food store is still seeing out its lease.
As yet no dates are fixed for the Sainsbury’s development to begin.
