A POPULAR town orchestra is holding its latest concert in Bromsgrove this Saturday, March 1.

The Orchestra of St John's Church formed in 2011 and has gone on to entertain Bromsgrove residents through a series of concerts.

At the latest concert, being held from 7.30pm at the Kidderminster Road-based church, the orchestra will be performing one of Joseph Haydn's greatest works, his Nelson Mass.

There will also be a performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, and Benjamin Britten's Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.

The concert is to be conducted by music director Richard Jenkinson.

Tickets are priced at £10, including interval refreshments, and accompanied children are free as part of the aim to introduce classical music to Bromsgrove's youngsters.

Tickets are available on the door, or can be reserved by calling 01527 870048.
