A BROMSGROVE charity, set up in memory of a two-week-old baby, has been given a fund-raising boost.

Libby Mae’s Little Angels was established by Catshill couple Charlotte and Richard Sharratt in memory of their daughter Libby Mae who died when she was only two weeks old last April.

The charity raises money for neo-natal units in the West Midlands like the one at Birmingham Children’s Hospital where Libby Mae was looked after.

Although only being in existence a short amount of time more than £40,000 has been raised through quiz nights, wear pink days, charity football matches and donations.

In July, its first charity ball is being held.

Galaxy Hot Chocolate is helping small, community groups and charities, across the UK and Ireland, by donating cash awards and Libby Mae's Little Angels has received a donation of £300 in the latest awards.

Charlotte said: “We can put this donation towards the purchase of new neo natal-equipment.

"Hospitals give us wish lists clarifying the equipment they need and we work hard to provide it for them.”

More donation are to be handed to charities. To be in the running for a donation visit the Galaxy Hot Chocolate website galaxyhotchocolate.com.
