THE Primrose Hospice is organising a Woofs and Wellies sponsored walk through the Clent Hills later this month to raise money for the charity.
The walk is taking place on Sunday, March 23 and offers dog-owners a choice of walking two, four, six or eight miles with their four-legged friend.
Owners pay £5 to enter their dog for the walk, and then collect as much sponsorship as possible, with all the dogs that raise more than £150 in sponsorship receiving a £10 voucher for the Just for Pets store in Bromsgrove, one of the event’s backers, along with Townsend Vets.
There will be a free goodie bag for every dog on the day, as well as a special dog-themed quiz with a mystery prize on offer, and competitions including one for the wackiest wellies on show.
People without dogs are still welcome to join in with the walk, and anyone who wants to take part, should call the Primrose Hospice and register on 01527 889796.
