A WEST Mercia police car was damaged while pursuing a vehicle containing three people who carried out a theft from a Bromsgrove store.
Police were called to Halfords, Birmingham Road, at about 7.15pm on Tuesday, March 4 where two men and a woman had stolen a tool kit worth £160.
They made off in a Kia Picanto, which was seen by officers in Rubery, where it failed to stop. It headed into Birmingham at speed, causing other vehicles to take evasive action, and rammed the police BMW estate in Pershore Road, Selly Park, where the pursuit ended.
The two officers in the vehicle were uninjured, but the BMW was damaged.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Mark Hollingworth at West Mercia Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 579-S-040314 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
