A BROMSGROVE man has appeared in court charged with committing sexual assaults on teenage girls.

David John Crowther, 55, of West Road, appeared before Redditch magistrates on Tuesday, March 4, accused of four sexual assaults on two 14-year-old girls in Bromsgrove between June 1 and September 30, 2012.

He was arrested in November 2012 and, following an investigation by North Worcestershire’s Child Protection Unit, he was charged last month.

He appeared in court again on Tuesday, March 11. At this hearing, it was stated the case will be heard at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday, March 27.

Crowther was released on bail with a condition that he should not have contact with anyone under the age of 17 without the supervision of someone authorised by Children’s Services.
