YOUTHS in the town are being encouraged to take part in Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police's first ever youth survey.

The survey includes ten questions which aim to give police a better picture of how young people would like to communicate with them, how they receive information and their involvement in tackling local issues.

Superintendent Kevin Purcell said: “This survey is a chance for young people to tell us how we can improve and tailor our services and give them the opportunity to make a positive difference to how we do things in the future.

“We know that young people are very up to date with modern media using the most up to date means of communication. We want them to help decide how we are going to engage with them. That way we have a much better chance of getting it right.”

Anyone aged 11-18 living or going to school in the areas covered by Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police is invited to take part in the survey and be in with a chance of winning £100.

The police will distribute 35,000 copies of the survey to senior schools, colleges, youth groups and sports clubs by local policing teams.

The survey can also be completed online at surveymonkey.com/s/N7FM6VT until April 30, 2014.
