A BROMSGROVE museum is staying up way past its bedtime for an annual night-time festival of arts, heritage and culture.

Museums at Night, which sees hundreds of museums, galleries, libraries, archives and heritage sites across the UK open their doors for special evening events, offers the chance to experience culture and heritage in a totally unexpected way.

As part of the fun, Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings will hold a camping night in which visitors will get the chance to pitch their tent amongst 700 years of Midlands' history and listen to ghost stories around the fire. They will also be able to enjoy a midnight feast in New Guesten Hall while admiring its beautiful 14th century roof.

The festival will take place between Thursday, May 15 – Saturday May 17.

Events are being added on a daily basis but full listings can be found at museumsatnight.org.uk.
