KIDS longing for the limelight are invited to attend a pop star performance workshop in Longbridge with former X Factor finalist Rebekah Ryan.

Rebekah was a finalist in the ‘over 25’s’ group on the ITV talent show and has worked with some of the world’s top record producers as well as touring with Boy Zone, Peter Andre and Kavanagh.

She will be just one of the performers and musicians helping local kids to learn all about the music industry at the week-long Pop Academy workshop, which will include the opportunity for kids to record their own song in a state-of-the-art recording studio.

“It’s wonderful for the kids to have this opportunity to work with a professional recording artist,” said Jo Edwards, principal of organiser Star Project Theatre School. “There will be lots of interesting and fun projects throughout the week as they work towards recording a song, which will be presented on a CD for each child to keep.”

The workshop is open to children of all abilities between four-18 years old at The Factory Centre in Longbridge from April 14 – 18.

The week costs £99 per child and more information can be found by calling 07805161533 or visiting thestarproject.info.
