A BROMSGROVE woman was acquitted of three charges of fraud at a trial at Crown Court.
Ruby Baines, formerly known as Nina Tiara and Nina Dalman, of Woodcote Green Farm, Woodcote Lane, was originally charged in 2014 with dishonestly obtaining refunds totalling thousands of pounds.
It was alleged she gained refunds from Debenhams and Marks & Spencer for goods which she claimed had not been delivered, and then returned the items in store for a second refund.
The case followed a five month investigation by West Mercia Police. Baines was brought before Redditch Magistrates on April 1, 2014, charged with three counts of fraud, two of which were against Marks & Spencer and the other against Debenhams.
The offences were alleged to have been committed between August 2009 and April 2013.
Baines pleaded not guilty to all three charges and was released on bail to appear before Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday, July 22.
She subsequently appeared at Worcester Crown Court, sitting in Hereford, in January 2016 and was acquitted on all charges.
