POLICE are investigating a robbery at a Bromsgrove park.

The incident happened between 11pm on Friday, April 4, and 12.15am on Saturday, April 5.

The 18-year-old victim was in Sanders Park, in Kidderminster Road, with two friends when they were approached by three young men who they did not know but began chatting to them.

The victim and his friends walked off, followed by three men.

Suddenly one of them kicked the victim to the head and chased him through the park.

He jumped over the fence onto Kidderminster Road followed by the offender who demanded he hand over his rucksack, threatening that if he did not do so, he would be assaulted.

The suspects left, going back through the park.

They were white, in their early to mid 20s, and wearing dark coloured hooded tops or coats.

The main offender was around 6ft 2in, slim, and one of the others was about 5ft 7in, described as a chubby build with a beer belly.

The third man, who did not take part in the robbery, was wearing a coat which was dark on the bottom and had red shoulders and a hood.

The rucksack, which was later recovered in Millfields Road, contained the victim’s drivers licence, student ID card, work badge and a key.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Rachel Southan at West Mercia Police on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 23-s-050414.
