A BROMSGROVE open air museum is hosting a fun-packed weekend over this Easter holiday.

Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings, in Redditch Road, Stoke Heath, is holding the event this Easter Sunday, April 20, and Monday, April 21.

The event includes a vintage craft fair, the chance to see the museum's volunteers sail the 19th century windmill and the opportunity to try archery or traditional rural crafts.

Visitors can take a ride on the miniature train, enjoy pony rides, meet some furry friends, or ride traditional fairground rides.

The weekend has a Wonderland theme so visitors are asked to bring a picnic and enjoy the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, and can visit the Cockpit to see a traditional Victorian magic lantern show featuring original Alice in Wonderland illustrations.

Music and refreshment stalls have also been arranged for visitors, while Avoncroft's award winning Edwardian Tea Room will be open.

The museum will be open between 10.30am and 5pm.

Admission is £8.80 for adults, £7.70 for seniors and £4.50 for children. Avoncroft Museum members go free.
