A TRADITIONAL Easter bonnet parade was enjoyed by staff and residents at a Bromsgrove care home.

For the Easter celebrations Breme Care Home, run by Sanctuary Care, organised the parade on Wednesday, April 16.

Residents at the home took time to decorate their bonnets, which were then judged.

The difficult job of judging the bonnets went to Sanctuary Care’s regional manager Honor Keatley, who picked resident Bert Warren's creation as the winner of the competition.

After the competition everyone enjoyed hot cross buns and other Easter treats made by the residents.

Activities leader at the Providence Road home ,Helen Barron said: “Our residents have absolutely loved decorating the bonnets.

"It has been a wonderful reminiscence activity for them and they have been sharing lovely stories of when they were children and would celebrate Easter with their own parents.”
