BROMSGROVE MEP Nikki Sinclaire will visit Primrose Hospice ahead of next moths European elections.

The We Demand a Referendum Now MEP will meet with staff at the hospice, which offers a range of help and support services for patients with cancer and other life limiting illness, to learn about the day-to-day work of the hospice.

Ahead of the visit, she said: “I look forward to seeing first-hand the great work this charity is doing in providing families with support, care and love.

"Time and time again, charities tell me that funding is the main issue they face. While we pay £53 million a day to the EU, we have hospices like Primrose who would greatly benefit from even just a small percentage of that sort of money.

"This is an independent charity, and one day in the bedded unit costs £300. We should be giving more of our money to charities like this who provide so much comfort for families in incredibly dark times.”
