A 34-year-old man is in hospital after suffering serious head injuries as a result of an incident that occurred at around 10.45pm yesterday, Saturday, May 3 inside the Grapevine Pub, High Street, Bromsgrove.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in custody.

Detective Sergeant Natalie Martin from West Mercia Police said: “Although a man has been arrested in connection to this incident, investigating officers remain keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault.

“They are also keen to speak to anyone who was drinking in the Grapevine pub earlier in the evening who may have seen anything that could be linked to the incident that occurred later."
