A BROMSGROVE burglary is being linked to another incident in which a car was broken into.

An Aston Villa football shirt, hooded jacket and empty handbag were stolen from a property in Counting House Way, Stoke Heath.

The incident happened during the bank holiday weekend, between 10pm on Sunday, May 4, and 3.45am on Monday, May 5.

The offenders got through an unlocked gate to the rear and then entered the house through an unlocked rear patio door. The stolen property was discarded in an adjacent alley.

It is believed the burglary is linked to another incident that took place between May 4 and 5 in nearby Buntsford Hill, in which a Renault Megane had a brick thrown through a window and a handbag removed.

The bag was found dumped in the garden of the house in Counting House Way, with its contents intact apart from a couple of pounds in loose change.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Detective Constable Paul Lettis at West Mercia Police on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 157-s-070514.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
