A REDNAL man was remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with a house burglary in Barnt Green.
On Monday, (May 12), jewellery was stolen in a break-in at a property in Mearse Lane.
The incident was reported to police at 2.45pm by members of the public who saw and heard suspicious activity around the property.
Officers have recovered a quantity of jewellery which is believed to have been stolen in the burglary.
Anton McIlroy, 30, of Oberon Close, Rednal, was arrested in the Frankley area later in the afternoon and taken to Kidderminster Police Station for questioning by detectives from the North Worcestershire burglary team.
He was charged with burglary and appeared at Redditch magistrates on Tuesday, May 13.
McIlroy was remanded in custody to next appear at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday, June 18.
