A BROMSGROVE organisation helping charitable causes, has launched a recruitment drive with an extra incentive.

Bromsgrove Round Table, open to men between 18 and 45-years-old, has organised a recruitment night, where anyone interested can turn up and enjoy a free pint while finding out more about the organisation.

Nationally the round table has more than 4,000 members, who all enjoy putting something back in the community and organising social events.

There is no criteria for joining, and members come from a variety of backgrounds and professions.

Recently the group organised a Black Country pub crawl, a demonstration of butchery skills and a tour of the new police and fire station.

Chairman, Jon Lear, said "Lots of people will know Round Table here from the work we do with Santa and his sleigh at Christmas, but for the majority of the year we carry out a wide range of social events.

"We tend to do the sorts of things you wouldn't get to do on your own."

"We have a full calendar of varied events planned for the reminder of the year, and we are always happy to welcome potential new members."

The recruitment evening is being held at the Ewe and Lamb, in Hanbury Road, between 7.30 and 9pm on Thursday, May 29.
