A DODFORD charity, which has been helping disadvantaged youngsters for more than two decades, has had a revamp with the help of volunteers.
A team of eight, from Npower, visited Dodford Children's Farm earlier this month.
Dodford Children’s Farm, in Warbage Lane, are a registered charity providing week-long breaks to disadvantaged youngsters and their families, from inner city areas and schools.
During the visit the volunteers repaired fences, planted 40 trees, and painted animal shelters so the facility was ready for the next children who will be heading to the farm this summer.
The team was led by Joanna Poole, who said: "After the last few days of rain we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to come and help but the weather held out for us so we were able to get all of the work finished.
"It was a tiring day but it was a great feeling when we had finished and knowing we have made difference.
"We really enjoyed being able to volunteer and it’s a great feeling giving something back to the local community; we would all definitely volunteer again."
