DETECTIVES need witnesses to a serious attack that left a man with injuries in a Chinese takeaway in Bromsgrove.

The incident happened at the Oriental Royal, in Birmingham Road, at 11.30pm on Friday, May 16, when the 37-year-old victim was attacked with weapons including a wooden stick and nunchucks.

He suffered injuries to his face and body for which he was treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Detective Constable Amy Kitosi-Isanga of North Worcestershire CID said: “Two men have been arrested in connection with this incident and our investigation is ongoing.

"This was a vicious attack which has left the victim with some extremely nasty injuries. There were other people around and about when it happened and it is vital that they come forward and tell us what they saw or know about it.”

The two men who have been arrested are aged 34 and 36. They are currently on police bail until July 11, pending further inquiries.
