MEDIEVAL fun is heading to a Bromsgrove open air museum this weekend.
A traditional jousting tournament is being held at Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings, in Stoke Heath on Saturday and Sunday, (June 14 and 15).
Each day from 11am, there will be a demonstration of archery and mounted skills at arms followed by the chance for children to take part in a bill - a medieval weapon - drills.
From 2pm, re-enactors will be depicting The Duke of Somerset’s Last Stand at Avoncroft’s Medieval Town House, followed by an armoured joust with knights competing for fame and favour.
Visitors will also be able to talk to knights, ladies and soldiers, at living history encampments, to find out more about life in medieval times.
Both days will finish with an archery display in the Windmill Camp.
Avoncroft's gates open at 10.30am both days. Entrance to the museum costs £8.80 for adults, £4.50 for children.
