A MAN has been arrested after a car failed to stop for police, and collided with two other vehicles in Bromsgrove.

Officers tried to stop the Peugeot 206 at Junction 4 of the M5 just before 6pm yesterday, (June 12).

The vehicle made off and collided with two vehicles, belonging to members of the public.

The occupant of the Peugeot ran off towards Wildmore Lane.

All three vehicles were badly damaged but no-one was injured.

A 30-year-old man, from Newport, Gwent, was located nearby and a quantity of cash, and what are believed to be Class A drugs, were recovered.

The man was arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving and dangerous driving and was taken to Kidderminster Police Station, to assist officers with their inquiries.

In an unrelated incident, three men were arrested in Hagley on suspicion of theft.

A Vauxhall Vectra made off from officers on patrol before stopping, and nine barrels of diesel were discovered in the boot.

The men, aged 20, 23, and 31, were arrested in Hagley this morning, June 13.
