WORCESTERSHIRE County Council paid tribute to the brave servicemen and women in Her Majesty's Army by raising a flag to mark the sixth annual Armed Forces Day.
Armed Forces Day, on Saturday, June 28, helps to raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
Worcestershire County Council is also sponsoring a concert on Saturday, June 28 from 7.30pm at Worcester Guildhall.
It will be extremely poignant as one of the pieces has been scored by an ex-serviceman. Colours has been composed by Robert Plant, an ex-Gunner who trained with 214 Battery, 104th Regiment Royal Artillery, 5th Division (v).
Tickets cost £5 and are available from Worcester Tourist Information Centre at The Guildhall, High Street, Worcester.
