TOWNSFOLK are being invited to an arts and crafts exhibition, being held as part of Bromsgrove Festival.

The exhibition is taking place between 10am and 4pm at Avoncroft Arts Centre, in Redditch Road, Stoke Heath, on Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13.

The exhibition features various artwork including paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics, textiles, sugarcraft, photographs and calligraphy.

Some of the work will be available to buy.

On Saturday, there will be the chance to decorate a cup cake and have a go at fabric painting.

There is also a drawing and pencil colouring workshop taking place from 10am until noon, and again from 1pm until 3pm.

It costs £3 per session, but it is advised to book in advance as space is limited.

On Sunday there will also be a painting demonstration from 10am until 12.30pm.

On both days there will be the chance to paint a poppy, as part of a wider display to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War.

Throughout the exhibition members and tutors will be available to answer any queries, and provide details of the wide range of classes starting in September.

Admission to the exhibition is free.
