RAIL enthusiasts are being invited to events being organised by a town club.

Bromsgrove Railway Club is holding the outdoor events for members and non-members.

The first is being held on Sunday, July 13, when a coach trip is being held to Paignton in Devon for a ride on the steam train and short boat ride to Dartmouth.

On Wednesday, July 30, there will be an evening with the model engineers at Avoncroft Museum, in Stoke Heath, where visitors will be able to ride the trains and see the engineers at work on small scale steam trains.

A coach excursion is being held on Sunday, August 10, when the club visits the Kirkless Railway, then on to Holmfirth - the setting for the television series Last of the Summer Wine.

The last coach trip of the year will be taking place on Saturday, October 11, when club members will be travelling, via the Channel Tunnel, for a day out in France.
