THERE are not one but two great tribute shows coming to Bromsgrove's Artrix.
First up at the venue is Money for Nothing, formed in 2000 as a tribute to one of the world's premier rock bands - Dire Straits.
The abundant energy and the excellence and musicality of their performance makes Money For Nothing a must see for any rock enthusiast or Dire Straits fan.
Fronting the band is the brilliant guitarist and Mark Knopfler sound-alike Aled Williams.
The rest of the line-up features top-class and experienced musicians that make this band a worthy tribute act.
Aled and all the band have studied Dire Straits in great depth to re-create the act to be as close as possible to the real thing.
The Money For Nothing stage show has been performed all over Britain and the world, at all types of venues and events - from music festivals, theatres, nightclubs and venues.
Featuring all the hits including Sultans of Swing, Brothers in Arms and Romeo and Juliet this looks set to be a great night out.
Money for Nothing are performing at the Artrix on Friday, July 18 at 8pm.
If one great tribute act wasn't enough there will be another one the following week.
Back in 2008, devoted Eagles fans Frank Beach, formerly of Midlands band Palomino, and singer and guitarist Chris Brighton, decided to form a tribute band. #
Nowadays, the popularity of Desperado is such that they have played all over the world.
As well as performing the whole of the Hotel California album, the six-piece band will be playing all the favourite Eagles tracks.
The show - two hours plus - will fly by, and feature vocal harmonies layered over note perfect guitar breaks, licks, slides, and solos.
Desperado are performing at the venue on Saturday, July 26 at 8pm.
