THERE was a special recreation of a wedding ceremony in Bromgrove last weekend, just to include the mother of the groom.
Steve Waltho, and his bride Jayne Magin, were married in Bobbington in South Staffordshire, but unfortunately, Mr Waltho’s mother, Doris Williams suffers from Alzheimer’s and was unable to attend the service, remaining instead at her home in Wayside Care Home in Bromsgrove.
Undeterred by little details like geography, the happy couple recreated the wedding again the following day 21 miles away at Wayside, just for Mrs Williams, complete with bridesmaids and family members, and staff at the care home made sure she looked her best for the occasion.
