CHILDREN from Rubery took part in a graduation ceremony which was held for students leaving nursery to start school in September.
Youngsters at Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School, based at Longbridge Methodist Church, dressed in hats, wore medals and sang special songs which they had learnt for the occasion.
The event was attended by parents, carers, grandparents and siblings.
Children also received learning journals and graduation certificates before enjoying cakes and a selection of fruit, some of which was grown in the children’s nature garden.
Nursery and pre-school manager Jacqueline Walker said: “This was a lovely family event.
“Although it will be sad to say goodbye to 23 older children who are leaving to start school reception but we look forward to our younger children moving to our Nursery group.
“It has been a privilege to work with all our children and their families this year and we wish them all the best for the future.”
