A UNIQUE floral creation will be going on show at a Hanbury craft centre this month.

A giant mosaic snowdrop, standing seven foot tall, features in Jinney Ring Craft Centre's sculpture trail which runs from Friday, August 22, until Tuesday, September 30.

The snowdrop was created by mosaic artist Victoria Harrison, and made using a galvanised steel frame with mosaic smalti.

It was first exhibited at the Malvern Royal Horticultural Society spring festival in May this year.

Victoria, who spent four months making the art work at her Malvern home, said: “I’m delighted to be able to share my latest piece of work with Jinney Ring visitors, it’s really striking.

“I’ve always been intrigued by how such a tiny plant with such delicate flowers blooms in such harsh winter conditions, which is why I decided to capture it in my latest piece of work.”

“I hope local residents get as much joy out of seeing it as much as I did creating it.”

The sculpture trail opens each day at the Hanbury Road-based centre, from 11am until 4.30pm.
