POLICE have launched an investigation into a road collision in which a Rubery woman died.
The collision happened on the A491 at the junction with B4188, in Bell End, near the Bell Public House, at 7pm yesterday, (August 23).
The collision was between a Silver Volkswagen Polo and a Blue Citreon C1.
An 81-year-old, a passenger in the Volkswagen, was taken to Russells Hall Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The female driver and a male passenger in the Polo were treated for minor injuries at Russells Hall Hospital.
The female driver of the Citroen was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of a third car involved in the incident, a grey Ford Mondeo, was uninjured.
Police, investigating the incident, have appealed for the public's help.
Witnesses are being asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0615s of Saturday, August 23.
