BROMSGROVE’s polling districts and polling stations are being reviewed during the next few months.

The consultation, run by Bromsgrove District Council, will seek to establish how suitably located polling places are within each electoral area whilst also considering their accessibility.

Specific issues which are affecting those with disabilities will also be under scrutiny.

The council is asking residents and organisations in the area to submit their initial comments regarding the review in writing by 5pm on Friday, September 5.

Those who make representations regarding the location of particular stations are asked to suggest alternative places.

Members of the public are invited to view the current electoral arrangements by visiting the council house on Burcot Lane or the customer service centre in School Drive.

They will be available from 10am to 4pm on all normal working days.

Lizzie Tovey, electoral services manager, said: “It is really important that our polling places are in the most suitable locations and that they are accessible for all residents across the district. Please get in touch and help us to make the best choices.”
