ANIMAL lovers are being encouraged to volunteer their time for sick and injured pets at a Rubery charity shop.

The Rubery store of the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA), in New Road, is appealing for volunteers who are passionate about pets, and can help lend a hand.

Store manager, Lynda Clifton, said: “A volunteer in our store will get to meet new people and add some valuable skills and experience to their CV.

"They will also be helping to raise much needed funds for local pets in need. We are looking for people who are passionate about pets and can lend a hand, even if it’s a few hours a week.”
