A BROMSGROVE church held a successful charity tool collection.
The collection was held earlier this month at All Saints' Church in Burcot Lane. Tools of all kinds, including those used for carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry work, were handed in.
They included more than than 30 sewing machines and four knitting machines.
One quarter of the church was full with the items filling two-and-a-half vans.
Everything donated is being renovated by Workaid, a charity that boxes the items and sends them as kits to poor communities in Africa.
The collection was held as part of the Festival of Churches weekend of events for the public.
Tessa Carrick, from the church, said: "Sadly, we had to turn down some offers as there was no transport for any more.
"We were also pleased to have visitors to look at the church, to buy fairtrade items or to examine old registers - the weekend was a huge success."
