A BELBROUGHTON pub run by a top Midlands chef, has retained a Micheline award in a 2015 guide.

The Queens, in Queens Hill, has retained its Michelin Bib Gourmand Award in the 2015 Michelin Guide for Great Britain.

Only 155 establishments nationally hold the Bib Gourmand, awarded to the inspectors' favourite establishments, offering high-quality products and services and good value for the money.

All Bib Gourmand restaurants are recognised for offering a three course meal for £28 or under.

It remains the only Bib Gourmand venue in Worcestershire.

Chef Andy Waters said: "Being awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in the first place was a fantastic achievement for The Queens team as they all put in so much hard work and dedication.

"For this to be recognised by Michelin for a second year, is a proud moment for us all.''

Andy moved to run The Queens in 2012, and since the move has been awarded the Robert J Smith Award by The British Culinary Association for dedication to the industry.
