BROMSGROVE residents are being invited to voice their opinions and view an exhibition on plans for a new housing development in Perryfields.

House-building company Taylor Wimpey are aiming to provide up to 1,200 new homes, new employment space, elderly care homes, retail and community facilities and formal sports pitches.

This public exhibition will give the local community the first opportunity to see the initial plans before a formal planning application is submitted to Bromsgrove District Council.

Those in attendance have the opportunity to leave feedback, speak with the project team and ask questions.

NewBuy and Help to Buy schemes as well as affordable housing, including rented and shared-ownership homes could be provided as a result of the development.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16 between 2 and 7.30pm at the Fairfield Suite, Holiday Inn Birmingham, Kidderminster Road, Bromsgrove.

James Bradshaw, strategic land regional director at Taylor Wimpey, said: “We are pleased to be able to share our draft proposals and very much look forward to meeting members of the local community at our exhibition.

“This event is an early opportunity to see our initial designs and ask questions to members of the project team. We’re looking forward to hearing from residents and other interested parties about their views of the new development and the opportunities it can deliver.”

The outline planning application for new homes on land identified within the draft Bromsgrove District Plan as an allocated site for possible development.
