POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was wounded outside a Rubery takeaway.

The incident happened outside Chaps, in New Road, at about 10.30pm on October 15.

The 34-year-old man, from Birmingham, became involved in an altercation with a group of teenagers who were acting anti-socially outside the takeaway, after the group had eaten a meal inside.

He received a major injury to his face when he was hit with a ride-on mini-scooter. His injuries required treatment at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The offenders are four boys, in their early teens, who made their escape towards New Road.

Any parents whose children may have been out at that time are urged to contact West Mercia Police if they have information.
