AN expanding accountancy and business advisory firm is moving into new Stoke Prior headquarters which could lead to the creation of new jobs.

Recent mergers between Bromsgrove firm Harrison Priddey & Co, Solihull-based Jerroms and Trafalgars, based in Kings Heath, has led to the need for new headquarters.

The combined business now practices under the names of Jerroms, Jerroms Priddey and Jerroms Trafalgars - varying according to locality.

As it now employs more than 90 members of staff, and a drive has been launched to attract new clients across the county, there became a need for new headquarters.

Five Mile House in Hanbury Road comprises 5,117 square foot on two floors and has been acquired in a significant six-figure transaction.

It features open plan offices, meeting and conference rooms, and other facilities.

The Bromsgrove operation is moving out of its current base at St John's House, in St John Street, to the site.

Jerroms director Mark Eden said he hoped the move would lead to the creation of some new jobs.

"North Worcestershire is a vibrant business area and our aim is not only to serve our clients even more effectively but to increase our client base in this area and in south Birmingham," he said.

“To that end we felt we needed extra office space and Five Mile House is the opportunity which presented itself thanks to the efforts of John Truslove (property agents).

“We are particularly optimistic because this part of our region is benefitting from economic recovery driven by a higher level of confidence in the future, and this is us making a statement that we want to be part of it and invest in it."
