RESIDENTS in Belbroughton are being asked for their views on plans to build a multi-million pound alternative water supply site.

Severn Trent Water is looking to construct a new pipeline linking an abstraction site on the River Severn to the Frankley Water Treatment Works in Birmingham, while work is carried out on an existing facility.

Once plans have been finalised for the Birmingham Resilience Project, construction work is anticipated to last for three years and Severn Trent Water is committed to deliver the scheme by 2020.

Severn Trent is holding a series of public exhibitions to explain the proposals and gather local views as part of the design process.

Public exhibitions are being held in Belbroughton in November.

An exhibition is being held at Holy Trinity Church Hall in Bradford Lane. There will two sessions; the first on Monday, November 10 from 1pm to 6.30pm, the second on Wednesday, November 12, from 2pm to 8pm.

There will also be an exhibition on Tuesday, November 18, at The Bell, Bromsgrove Road, from 2pm-8pm.
