FANS of a comic creation have been celebrating the opening of a new play area in Bromsgrove.
The Guild Brewers Fayre pub in Birmingham Road opened the Beano-inspired play area on December 6.
Families and community groups such as Lickey toddler group, Bromsgrove Blue Cross and Bromsgrove Girl Guiding went along to the official opening seeing Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, as well as meeting Santa who was giving out early Christmas presents.
The play area has two sections; a toddler zone perfect for little ones, and an adventure tree house play area for older children. There is also a new family dining area allowing parents to watch their children while they play, and a new party room.
Mark Cash, the pub's manager, said "It's already been proved to be a great success.
"We're glad to say that children and parents absolutely love it."
