BROMSGROVE'S MP dropped in on a number of town businesses as part of a recent event.
Independent businesses were supported as part of Small Business Saturday on December 6.
On the day, Sajid Javid unveiled plans for a series of tough new measures to clamp down on the £40 billion in late payments to small businesses, and said the Conservatives would set up the Small Business Conciliation Service to help small firms resolve disputes with large customers.
After his speech in Birmingham the MP visited small businesses in Bromsgrove, including Ultimate Audio at the Aston Fields Industrial Estate.
The MP said: "When I speak to businesses in Bromsgrove one of the main issues they raise with me is late payment by large companies.
“As part of our long term economic plan we have taken radical action to end unacceptable late payment.
"These measures will make Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business, to grow our economy and create jobs for others.”
